The World Health Organization is seeking a qualified and experienced Operations Officer to support administrative, financial, logistics, procurement, and operational management functions for its Polio Eradication Programme in Somalia.

šÆ Main Responsibilities:
⢠Manage administrative, financial, HR, logistics, procurement, and operational systems
⢠Monitor programme budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation
⢠Support recruitment, staff orientation, training, and performance management
⢠Ensure procurement processes follow WHO policies and value-for-money standards
⢠Supervise IT support services and office infrastructure management
⢠Coordinate office security compliance with UNDSS standards
⢠Lead and supervise the country office administration team
⢠Support effective implementation and monitoring of WHO programmes in Somalia

Required Qualifications:
⢠Bachelorās degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, Public Administration, or related field
⢠Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of international exposure
⢠Strong experience in administration, finance, procurement, HR, and operational management
⢠Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
⢠Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
⢠Advanced English language proficiency required
ā Preferred:
⢠Masterās degree in Management, HR, or Business Administration
⢠Experience with WHO, UN agencies, or international organizations
⢠Knowledge of Result-Based Management systems
